This combination of basmati rice, shelled and halved mung beans with vegetables and spices is considered an ideal recipe in Ayurveda for a light, nutritious and satisfying meal.

Preparation:
For one 80 g serving, boil 300 ml of water, cover and simmer over a low heat for 20-30 minutes, stirring occasionally. Add salt and butter or ghee to taste.
